Geneva: Kent’s Top Gun

Let’s bet that this 15th edition of the Rolex Top Ten IJRC Finale in Geneva is now a cult as TOP GUN in the USA: Kent Farrington (SOFT'UP PRO new Silver Premium Edition) became indeed the first American to step up on the podium’s height with its well named co-pilot “Voyeur” ! Just behind the crowned top pilot, other freejumpers were following closely: Simon Delestre (Hermès stirrups by Freejump) is 2nd, Bertram Allen (SOFT'UP PRO) finished in 7th ahead of the Kaiser Ludger Beerbaum (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) in 10th. The 55th Rolex Grand Prix was a true race against the clock with Simon Delestre and Kent Farrington in great form indeed, followed by Rolf-Goran Bengtsson (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) 6th ! A few hours flight away, La Coruna welcomed also a CSI 5* with its escadron of shining stars: Laura Renwick (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) winner of the 145 Trofeo Prosegur, Olivier Philippaerts (SOFT'UP PRO) leading in the 150 Trofeo Caixabank and 3rd of the Longines GP 160 just after Hans-Dieter Dreher (SOFT'UP PRO) who was 2nd. STARS AND LITTLE PRINCES

« People’s stars are dirfferent. Stars can be guides to some of us. To others stars are merely small lights. To the scientists stars are just problems. They were like gold for my businessman. » (Le Petit Prince, Antoine de Saint Saint-Exupéry) Our Freejump riders were all this together, the stars of their shows ! There was a "Supernova" in France : the fireworks took place at the « Etoiles de Pau » CCI4* where very positive energies came together with Michael JUNG (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY XC EVO) and Fischerrocana FST in 2nd, Tim PRICE (SOFT'UP PRO) and Wesko in 3rd, followed by Joseph MURPHY (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY XC EVO) and DHI Top Story in 13th. In « aurora borealis country », the stars were shining too : the Worldcup in Helsinki saw in 5th and 10th Hans-Dieter DREHER (SOFT'UP PRO) with Embassy II and Martin FUCHS (SOFT'UP PRO) with Clooney 51, but it was above all the illuminated Romain DUGUET (Hermès stirrups by Freejump) who took home this CSI5*-W trophy ! Nicola PHILIPPAERTS (SOFT'UP PRO) along with H&M Forever D'Arco ter Linden were the young bright stars who showed up at the Washington President's Cup CSI4*-W stepping on the podium 3rd step !  The winning casting of stars had to wake up early in the land of the rising sun, Beijing and its CSI3* ! Ludger BEERBAUM (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) wins the GP with Leonidas in front of Marco KUTSCHER (SOFT'UP PRO) and Cinetto, followed closely by Rolf-Göran BENGTSSON (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) and Calado respectively in 4th and 6th !

Barcelona Finals: their “dream” came true…

Freddy Mercury sang it with Queen, this past week end Top Riders embodied this mantra in team groups during the last week-end of September: dreaming to end the Nations Cup circuit (orchestrated by Furusiya) with "A Kind of Magic"! The song starts kind of Irish: Denis LYNCH (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) riding All Star take the Longines Cup, whereas Bertram ALLEN (SOFT'UP PRO) and his National turned International Molly Malone finish in 7th. Their "instinct guided them": the Belgians ! That team including Olivier PHILIPPAERTS (SOFT'UP PRO) rang the victory bell high and loud. Great Britain and Laura RENWICK (SOFT'UP PRO/LIBERTY EVO) were not far in the mix in 2nd, while the United States of Beezie MADDEN (SOFT'UP PRO) ened up in 4th. The last verse was sang by David WILL (SOFT'UP PRO) and Mic Mac du Tillard who won the GP in Samorin CSI4* just ahead of Marc HOUTZAGER (SOFT'UP PRO) on Sterrehof's Uppity. photo credit: FEI / Dirk Caremans

Product Innovation: PRO GRIP leathers

The single strap and extra wide design of FREEJUMP stirrups’ leathers provide unbeatable riding comfort for several years already. In 2014 the leathers were reinforced and adjusted with more precision thanks to the use of biothane. Available starting this October: the PRO GRIP leathers offer now a maximum “gripping effect” ! Leathers internal grip for a true gripping effect to the saddle ; The stirrups are in a more stable position while the leg remain free of movement ; No grip necessary between the boots (or chaps) and the couple leathers/saddle, limiting the secondary effects of boots glue, and allowing the legs to remain free in their movements ; Grip mounted on a velcro strap for an easy replacement ; Leathers supplied also with a leather strap (mounted on velcro) with no grip; Special rubber material with a surface for maximum desired grip ; Grip strap with 3 possible sizes to-be-cut to the desired size depending on rider’s body height (S<5'/1,50m - 5'/1,50m<M<5'9"/1,75m - L>5'9"/1,75m) ;

Summertime Top Riders News

Freejump was inspired by Shakespeare with its Top Riders acting in a summer play whose leading role was first held by Michael JUNG (LIBERTY XC EVO/SOFT'UP PRO).  In the background: Blair Castle in Scotland, and last but not least the mythical Hickstead and Achen grounds... Summary:   1st August Year XV: it was a long story certainly told by the ringmaster of Hickstead with the King Georges V Gold Cup at stake. The end story was one more time the victorious Beezie MADDEN (SOFT'UP PRO) and her faithful CORTES C.   A few days later... in the Brabant-Septentirional province ... which sounds like a medieval trench ... the best in the world faced during the Valkensward GCT leg. Germany and France allied climbing and 1st and 2nd steps, under the colors of Marco KUTSCHER (SOFT'UP PRO) with Van Gogh and Simon DELESTRE (Hermès stirrups by Freejump) riding Qlassic Bois Margot.   The summertime reached a high in August with the European Championships in Achen. Simon DELESTRE again, but with Ryan des Hayettes this time, received the Bronze individually; and Martin FUCHS (SOFT'UP PRO) was shining with the same metal shade with the Swiss team !   Riding fast again to the British empire for September 1st and the Burghley Horse Trials, one of the only six 4* eventing shows ran every year. No drama here as Michael JUNG and Tim PRICE (SOFT'UP PRO) finish simply 1st and 2nd !   Final summer stop: any better place to stage the European Eventing Championships than Scotland ? In a decorum worthy of Mac Beth, there was no tragedia either since Queen Elizabeth II covered with Gold (individual and team!) a Michael JUNG who is indeed far from bowing out ... photo credit: FEI / Jon Stroud
